Tigers are unique creatures who sho similar patterns with other big cats.

ACTIVITY:

Tigers are active during the day and night but they wire their activity levels around their prey's. They prefer to lessen their activity when the weather is very hot and modify their behavior to remain cool. Most tigers regulate their body temperatures by resting in bodies of water

SOCIAL ACTIVITY:

Tigers like to remain by themselves, being solitary creatures in the wild. Most of their interaction arrives during mating or when the young are still reliant upon their mother. Because of their preference to remain solitary, they can face little opposition from competing predators and are able to feed on their prey for days. Tigers may occasionally share prey, however this is mostly between other females and cubs. The cubs experience large amounts of social interaction by "playing", and adults may partake in this same behavior from time to time. In captivity, these behaviors are a bit more amplified.

ADDITIONAL BEHAVIORS:

Tigers are highly territorial but females that are related will remain in close proximity with each other. They will leave the are from which they are born to avoid interbreeding and further competition, but will remain in a home they secure for years.
