Tigers mating and reproductive behavior resembles many other big cats, but still have differences because of their solitary behavior

MATING:

Copulation between tigers will last up to a week, with each meeting ranging from 10 seconds to 13 minutes. Tigers can stick together for up to a month and show a variety of mating behaviors. Females will show aggression and both the male and female will vocalize during mating. The male will return once the female is receptive, and that will last close to 5 days.

GESTATION AND BIRTH:

Gestation will last from 103 to 106 days, and the cycling period will repeat once that litter is dispersed. If the litter dies then tigers will have more than one litter in a year. The cub amount is only 2 or 3 and rarely exceeds this amount.

STRUGGLES:

Tigers can experience infanticide, which is when immigrating male, which is not the father of dependent cubs, may gain increased mating success by killing the cubs (Singh, 2014). At times like this the mother may retaliate and attack the intruding male or relocate to another area to avoid this occurrence.
